“Am I doing this right?”
“Am I doing this right?” “I can’t make a decision”
How many of you have asked this at least once a week, or once a day?
Seriously, y’all should be saying “yes” to this or you is ly-ing to yo-self. Lol
How many times have you doubted...
your instincts
your gut
your intuition
your first answer
your “inner-knowing”
and immediately you begin to compare yourself to everything and everyone around you and question whether or not you have the ability to make decisions for your own life?!
For me, when I fall out of confidence and into comparison, the little girl inside of me begins to question every move I make like a 50 year running broken record.
Over time, I learned how to hush the little voice of doubt, and strike the balance between the advice from trusted advisors and my OWN authority.
A solid prayer life fortified that self-authority.
In moments of self-doubt or comparison, I recognize that I am literally “should-ing” all over myself from a utopia built pedestal of wild self-expectations.
WHEN YOU LIVE A LIFE CONSTRUCTED FROM THE EXPECTATIONS OF OTHERS, SELF DOUBT WILL MAKE A HOME INSIDE OF YOU.
Begin to create a practice when faced with a choice and ask, “IS THIS ACTUALLY ME?”
“Does this reflect what I value?”
“Does this feel good mentally, emotionally, spiritually?”
“Am I doing this for ME or for someone ELSE?”
.
So here is your permission (for whoever needs it)…
.
Take your guilt… and throw it in the ocean
Forgive yourself for breaking your own boundaries
Take a leap into the unknown
Put your obligations away for a day
Leave tha anxiety-giving job
Renegotiate that commitment you never wanted to say yes to
Put your Courage Pants on and have that hard conversation
Glue your crown to your head
Stop explaining yourself
There is nothing to prove
There are no mistakes- just learning moments
Say what you need to say
Let your “no” be HELL NO and your “yes” be FUCK YES.
So, cheers… to taking back the authority over your life and revealing piece by piece the Truth of your Soul…
