What are you needing to surrender?

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫?

Can we talk about the giant drunk pink elephant that seems to be in every room these days? 2020 has been one hell of a year...

But even in the moments of frustration, overwhelm, and confusion this year has taught me a major lesson that now motivates everything I do.

𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑, 𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐓𝐇.

When I don’t have the answers.

When I don’t know what my next step should be. When I can’t see the way out.

𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉.

When the quarantine began, my life completely changed. Overnight, I had to shut down my tutoring business because I couldn’t meet with my students.

Just like that my income, daily routine, and security vanished before my eyes.

I was faced with two options.

I could either wait for this problem to be solved on someone else’s time, or I could use this season of uncertainty as an opportunity to invest in myself.

By surrendering to faith, I trained myself to see all chaos as opportunity.

I spent time surrendering all the self-doubt and self-sabotage.

I let go of relationships that didn’t serve me and poured into the ones that did.

I invested in equipping myself with the tools to be a better coach.

Through intentional surrender, I’ve learned that if God closes a door, He opens a window. It’s my job to start looking for the opening...
